Books are ideal presents

Books make ideal presents, and all four of my books are available from good book suppliers (in person or online), including Sam Read (Grasmere), Fred’s of Ambleside, Bookends (Keswick) and Pete Bland Sports (Kendal).

Signed copies: As well as that I can offer signed copies of the paperback of ‘All or nothing at all: the life of Billy Bland’, despatched to anywhere in the UK for just £9 (see below for purchase details).

The following are some quotes from the reviews of each one of the books:

I am not a fell runner and I doubt I ever will be but I still thoroughly enjoyed this book. The blend of interesting facts, insightful interviews and personal anecdotes was just right. Anybody who loves running will enjoy it.”It’s a hill, get over it

What a tremendous book! Reckon this will become part of fell running history in the way ‘Stud Marks on the Summit’ did.” – The Round: in Bob Graham’s footsteps

As an insight into training schedules, racing intensity of two athletes who drove themselves to levels not seen before and then of after race activities, here is a source which is hard to better … and you can find out who won.” – Running Hard: the story of a rivalry

“Billy Bland is fell running royalty and this book tells Bland’s story and how he one day started running and then went on to win all the major fell races some numerous times. This is an excellent book and one that deserves a wide audience.” – All or nothing at all: the life of Billy Bland
